ETA; I changed my blog address from vendettaxx.blogspot to blackdresslove.blogspot & from what I can tell all my existing followers cannot see my posts.
The only way to fix this is to get all my followers to unfollow then refollow me.
So if you do a blog post on behalf of me, directing anyone who was once following vendettaxx.blogspot.com to come over to blackdresslove.blogspot.com to unfollow & refollow me, then I will put you in the giveaway 5 times.

I've spent 2 years getting my blog to where it is and it's so disappointing to think that my followers can no longer see me.

I have made a lot of changes this year, both blog related and real life related.
I've been feeling really good lately and I want to share the love and do a giveaway to celebrate all the good things that have been going on.

I've been wanting to do a giveaway for awhile but couldn't think of the perfect prize, then it came to me, nail polish!
The reason being, I've been on a huge nail polish kick lately, especially glitter.
Ohh how I love glitter polish.
It's totally worth the annoyingly long time it takes to remove.

Anyway on to the prizes,
there will be three sets, therefore three winners.

They are;

Seven Maybelline Mini Colorama nail polishes

[From left to right]
Icing Sugar
Green Park
Coral Rose
Cotton Candy
Vibrant Fuschia
Wonder Violet

Three Ulta3 glitter polishes

Silver Glitter
Blue Glitter

Two ORLY polishes
Sealon Topcoat & Berry Blast

The boring but important stuff;
- All entries will be written down & placed in a box. My best friend, Louise will then do the honours of picking out the 3 winners at random.
- To enter just leave me a comment telling me how you found my blog & what you would like to see more/less of on here. I am open to constructive criticism!
- You must be a follower
- If you want an extra chance to win, feel free to do a post about the giveaway & just let me know in your entry comment

Entries close on April 8
So that gives everyone two weeks to enter.

Good luck!

am i invisible?

I changed my blog address this morning and I have a nagging feeling that all my followers can no longer see my posts.
If you have been following me for more than a day and this post shows up on your blog roll, please please please leave me a comment and let me know that you can see it!

selling my stuff

Yesterday I created a facebook page to sell some of my stuff.
Originally, it was just for the intent of selling my things locally but I thought I'd share the page with you guys in case you're interested in grabbing a bargain.
It's a public profile, but feel free to add me as a friend on it if you'd like to be updated as I add items.
You can find the profile by clicking here

engagement party

This is going to be a very long and very picture heavy post.
On Saturday March 10, Nick and I had our engagement party.
It was held at my parents house and was very laid back.
[I'm saving all the fancy stuff for the wedding.]
I hired a photographer and I have to say, totally worth it.
She got some fantastic shots.
I won't post all of the photo's as I don't want to intrude on all my guests privacy and some faces might be blanked out for the same reason.
I also threw in some of the edited photos.
Oh, and the photos are in a completely random order for some reason.

James, Lauren & myself chugging down some water.
I was a very good girl. I had 2 vodka cranberries then went non-alcoholic for the rest of the night.
The same cannot be said about all the guests though that's for sure!

 James & Lauren again.
 Amanda & myself.
Those aren't crows feet [yet!], they are my smile creases.

Having a chat to my dad.
Excuse the excessive boobage, I was leaning over to talk to him and didn't realise I was putting on a show!

The following five photos are probably my favourite.
I had been telling Louise earlier that week how high my brother can lift me and she didn't believe me, so I had to prove my point.

 Slippery dress
Me saying 'See? I told you!'
"I'm flying Jack, I'm flying!"
 Time for the dismount
If this photo was taken 0.001 of a second earlier, you would see my underwear.
In hindsight, I should have realised my dress would catch the wind.
Oh well.

Don't ask, because I have no clue what's going on here.
Mum: 'There's something on your boob'
Me: 'Oh there is too! It won't come off!'
Mum: 'I'll do it'

Myself & Louise, before everyone showed up.
My cousin Melanie, my Nan and myself.
Mum wanted a nice photo of us so I go to lean in and somehow completely stumble in to my Nan, and nearly spill my drink everywhere.
Total action shot.

Laughing about how uncoordinated I am.
In case you're wondering, this photo isn't posed.
I've had a couple of people question that, which is a pity as it's one of my favourites.

As you can see, Louise bought me my wedding night lingerie.

Louise defending the honour of her goon bag.
 Excuse Nick's blanked out face.
This is my 'ohh I see' face.
Easily confused with my 'What the hell is going on?' face or my 'Huh?' face.

Damn my huge cheeks! Damn them to hell!

 The bridesmaids & myself
[L-R] Amanda, Louise, myself, Melanie & Lauren.

My family <3
Myself, Ryan, Mum, Dad & Jordan.

I absolutely adore this photo, it's so silly but so us.
My 2 big brothers, Ryan & Jordan.

Louise, myself & Melanie.

There are a lot more photos but my computer kept freezing and this is as far as I got with the picture uploads so this is all I'm doing.

Overall it was a fantastic night.
There were a few inappropriate comments but if that's the worst thing that happened then I'm a pretty happy girl.
I may or may not do a post going in to further detail about the night, but I'm not sure.
Would any of you be interested in reading that?

The specifics;
Dress; Sophia [Bought at a local boutique]
Shoes; Windsor Smith
Make up; Pout Cosmetics
MUA; Tara @ Pout Cosmetics
Hair; Myself [Can't you tell? haha]
Necklace; Michael Hill
Nail polish; OPI Divine Swine
Photographer; Chelsea @ Proof of Life Photography

Just a side note; I know that my bra is WAY to visible. I actually had the perfect bra laid out to take with me to my parents house [I got ready there] but I totally forgot to take it and by the time I realised it was too late.

ETA; I just looked over all the photos and have realised that all the photos feature maybe 10 people.
We had about 100 guests but I really don't want to invade their privacy as I don't know how they'd feel about being featured on my blog.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the photos!

I received all my engagement party photos today! I'm so excited to do a post featuring them but at the moment I am dying to watch the season finale of Pretty Little Liars, as we have been promised that A will be revealed.
I will post the photos after I've watched

I intend on changing the name and the URL of my blog soon.
I just feel like the title/url aren't really me anymore.
I've grown and I want my blog to grow with me.
Once I've made the change, I'll be doing a celebratory giveaway.
Stay tuned.

Maid of Honour

When I got engaged, I went straight to my parents house to celebrate.
My family, my fiance (and myself) wanted to tell everyone but I had one rule.
Once my parents & my brothers know, my best friend has to be next to know, before anyone else.
I remember the second I told her, she screamed & cried, and we hugged for a long time.
Louise is not a hugger and certainly not a crier, so that was very important.
As soon as we came out of the hug I asked her without any hesitation to be my maid of honour and of course she said yes.
After I had told her, my whole family had their phones out, letting people know the exciting news.

Louise has been my best friend since I was 13.
We have quite literally grown up together, and we have been through so much together.

Once when I was 16, my mum busting me smoking out my bedroom window.
Louise was next to me sharing my cigarette and spraying perfume insisting it would cover the smell.
She was there the day Nick asked me to be his girlfriend.
She was there for me when my mum had a heart attack.
She was there with me for all my teenage fashion faux pas, from my goth phase, to my blonde phase.
Neither of us are huge on emotion, but I just wanted to put it out there how amazing she is and how lucky I am to have her.

She has been by my side through absolutely everything in the last 9 years.
She knows me like nobody else and we share an unbreakable bond.

In terms of being my maid of honour, I know that no better person exists for the job.
She has bought me bridal magazines, started her own wedding planner, accompanied me to bridal fairs, looked at wedding dresses/shoes with me, helped me research the reputation of various companies, calmed me down when I'm angry or upset, done her own research, booked appointments, given me ideas and has generally been the best friend a person could ask for.

Louise is my maid of honour, but she will also be the godmother of any children I have.
It feels amazing to know that I literally have a friend for life.
I can see us having neighbouring rooms in a nursing home when we're 80.

Where it all began...

[high school]
We share that many inside jokes that I feel sorry for people around us as we've been told half the time we talk nothing makes sense.
It makes sense to us.

I hope that everyone is lucky enough to have a best friend like mine.
There really is nothing like it.

quick engagement party update

So, my engagement party was on Saturday night.
It went surprisingly well, except for a few minor hiccups.
I'll do a proper post once I get all the photos back from the photographer.
