GIVEAWAY

ETA; I changed my blog address from vendettaxx.blogspot to blackdresslove.blogspot & from what I can tell all my existing followers cannot see my posts.
The only way to fix this is to get all my followers to unfollow then refollow me.
So if you do a blog post on behalf of me, directing anyone who was once following vendettaxx.blogspot.com to come over to blackdresslove.blogspot.com to unfollow & refollow me, then I will put you in the giveaway 5 times.

I've spent 2 years getting my blog to where it is and it's so disappointing to think that my followers can no longer see me.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have made a lot of changes this year, both blog related and real life related.
I've been feeling really good lately and I want to share the love and do a giveaway to celebrate all the good things that have been going on.

I've been wanting to do a giveaway for awhile but couldn't think of the perfect prize, then it came to me, nail polish!
The reason being, I've been on a huge nail polish kick lately, especially glitter.
Ohh how I love glitter polish.
It's totally worth the annoyingly long time it takes to remove.

Anyway on to the prizes,
there will be three sets, therefore three winners.

They are;
PRIZE ONE

Seven Maybelline Mini Colorama nail polishes

[From left to right]
Marshmellow
Icing Sugar
Green Park
Coral Rose
Cotton Candy
Vibrant Fuschia
Wonder Violet

PRIZE TWO
Three Ulta3 glitter polishes

Silver Glitter
Blue Glitter
Confetti

PRIZE THREE
Two ORLY polishes
Sealon Topcoat & Berry Blast

The boring but important stuff;
- All entries will be written down & placed in a box. My best friend, Louise will then do the honours of picking out the 3 winners at random.
- To enter just leave me a comment telling me how you found my blog & what you would like to see more/less of on here. I am open to constructive criticism!
- You must be a follower
- If you want an extra chance to win, feel free to do a post about the giveaway & just let me know in your entry comment

Entries close on April 8
So that gives everyone two weeks to enter.

Good luck!

wearable nail polish removers

I got a manicure on Monday and the manicurist didn't have very many colours so I chose to have my nails painted with OPI Bring on the Bling.
I tried to take a photo but could not capture the sparkle so here is a random one from google.

The colour is absolutely beautiful and really sparkles in the sunshine.
This may sound silly but once I put my e ring back on after the manicure my heart sank, the colour looked absolutely shocking against my sparkly white gold ring.
I stuck with the colour until today when I couldn't stand it any longer so I thought, what better time to try out this weird wearable nail polish remover soaker things that I got off eBay.

This is what the nail soaker things look like.
You put nail polish remover in the clear part and then attach the pink suction cup bit and stick it on your fingers.
This is actually a lot harder than it seems, I had to get the boy to put them on for me lol

[Please excuse the bad quality iPhone photo & my mess.
I was removing all my nail polish and re doing it. What a job!]

This is the nail soakers in action!

Sorry for another odd photo. I was leaning my thumb against my knee lol

You can actually see the glitter polish is already half off my nails.
This literally took about 2 minutes.
I think I filled up the clear cup thing a bit too much as I had a bit of leakage.

And presto! Not a trace of glitter polish on my grubby, dry fingers.
Like the marks left by the suction on the polish removers? lol

I definitely recommend using this method, it's so quick, effective and relatively mess-free.
The only problem is, it really dries out your fingertips so have some good moisturiser handy!

If you want to get in on this, you can buy them here for the grand old price of $2.70

Have you ever used these before?

nails

I have booked in to get acrylics done on Wednesday. I really hope I don't regret it. Every time I get them I say "I'm never getting them again" because they make my nails so weak.
But at the moment, they are still weak and I haven't had acrylics in over 6 months.
I've tried practically every nail hardener and nail growth promoter, yet once my nails get to a certain length they just snap off.
Ugh, I can't win.
I think I'm just going to get plain french acrylics, squared and not too long.
Then I am free to paint them however I like, which is my main issue at the moment.
All I want is to be able to paint them but nail polish looks terrible on my super short nails.
I will update with pictures when I get them done

nails

For a very long time now I have been reading many blog posts by you lovely ladies showing off your gorgeous nails. And I am green with envy. I have always wanted long beautiful nails but up until about a year ago I was a compulsive nail biter. They have been unbelievably brittle since I stopped, and I have used a lot of different products to try and strengthen them but have not had much luck. Ever since I got acrylic nails around Christmas they have been especially bad, and my cuticles have gotten out of control.

So I would like advice on what products I can use to make my cuticles look decent and to make my nails strong.

I also have another issue that stems from getting my fake nails done a few months ago. When the man was buffing my nails and my cuticles he buffed the skin below my nails on every single finger(It was AGONY) and since then I have had this weird dry, sort of flaky skin right underneath my cuticles on each finger. Have you ever had this? If so I beg you to help me get rid of it!
